  3. WHAT IS IT?
  4. -----------
  5. If you use DefIcons then maybe you'll have noticed that not all file formats
  6. are recognised by the default brainfile.
  7. I attempted to add a whole load of file formats which I (or friends) needed
  8. to the standard set. Maybe a lot of them you wont need, but this set is now a
  9. bit more 'inclusive', a lot of non-native image/video formats are now
  10. included.
  11. I have also included a list of some of the more common IFF image types. These
  12. can be added to your own set if you need them.
  13. No icons are included in this archive because there are thousands floating
  14. around on aminet - you can pick your favourites and rename them!

  27. version of the archive then please email a copy of it to me first. That way I
  28. can keep my version the same ;)

  31. WHERE DID IT COME FROM?
  32. -----------------------
  33. Because of the nature of the package it was difficult to add image types in
  34. any sort of precalculated way... when something wasn't recognised I added it!

  36. I also downloaded something called DefIconsUpd (another package like this).
  37. I'm afraid I can't remember who it was by, if it's you then sorry! All I got
  38. was the source code from the archive, the rest was corrupt.

  40. I have recently recieved a rather insulting email from the author of this
  41. other package, claiming I ripped him off. I have one thing to say to that
  42. You show me another way to look for an 8SVX or a RIFF or whatever and I will
  43. use it, everyones code must look similar.

  45. I did modify the names of some of my classes to suit the ones in DefIconsUpd,
  46. not because I ripped them off, just out of respect that he had named them and
  47. uploaded before I did. (Besides which, they make a lot more sense than some I
  48. had ;)

  51. WHAT ELSE IS THERE?

  53. There is a batch file in the archive called 'build' this can be used to build a
  54. new brainfile and if the compilation is successful then the new brainfile will
  55. be copied to ENV: and ENVARC: I've compiled my brainfile with devpac but any
  56. 68000 assembler should do the trick. If you don't have one then you should be
  57. able to get one from the same place you downloaded this archive from.
